[RESOLVED] Do I need a license for Access 2007 for each pc
I am about to write a program that will be put on a bunch of machines, but if I have to read a database file "mdb" from my program, does it require that i have a license for Access on each pc? Or is there no need for a license when you are just reading?

Re: Do I need a license for Access 2007 for each pc
It depends on how you are working with it:
- If you are just using ADO etc, Access does not need to be installed (so you do not need a licence).
- If you have code that uses Access directly (such as code using Access.Application) then you do need Access to be installed.
There is more information in the article on this subject in the "Access" section of our Database Development FAQs/Tutorials (at the top of the Database Development forum)
