Server crash ??

I was posting a reply to one of the posts in General VB section at around 6pm IST and suddenly I started getting Server Busy messages in all my Forum windows. I kept trying intermittantly for over an hour, without any luck.

Was there a crash or something?? Or all the Yankees swarmed up at the same time ?? (That last remark should be taken lightly.)

If you are referring to the thread "What's up (should be down, really) with the server" which was moved from Chit Chat to here, I have read it.

Thanks for the clarification.

By the way, can you work out some timings for your upgradation and testing stuff? You could inform all members through announcements about these timings, and we would not try to log in at that time and then complain to you about the site not being functional. You are taking efforts which are not always being rewarded, so you could just let us know that we could expect problems around so and so timings.

Just a thought. The mention of taking the site down brought so much criticism, I don't dare say that.

At least I shall bear with these problems. I just love this site too much.
