Starting COM and ASP, book sugg ???
Any suggestions for books that are "specific" to the topics of COM development and use in ASP ?
Could anyone point me to online resources and tutorials. Google returned poor results for my searches in starting with COM and ASP. A little information overload there ...
Thanks

The two that I have actually sat down and read all the way through are VB COM by Thomas Lewis (www.wrox.com) for COM, and Active Server Pages 3.0 in 21 Days (Sams Teach Yourself series). Both were really good.
The COM book assumes you know VB, so if you don't, you might want to actually learn it first. I also found the MTS section to be a little hard for me to comprehend, seeing how I never worked with it. This could just be one of those things that is more me than the author though, so I wouldn't count it against the book.
The ASP book has a couple chapters that hold your hand a little and shows you loops and the syntax of VBScript. Not really helpful if you are already a VB programmer. It does put in a couple things in those chapters that you will need to know though, so skim through them. Luckly the hand holding stops after the first 3 or 4 chapters, and you start to really learn ASP.
These books are definately written more for the beginner, and if you have been using these technologies, it would be a waste of time to read. But if you are looking for a great place to start, look at these books.
