A Simple Notepad
Hello , i am trying to make a program in visual basic 6 having the same view with microsoft notepad (win95) because i have a friend and i promised him to make one - i started lots of times but nothing.Please if u know something or wanna help pm me.

If you want to have the most functionality, i would suggest using the richtextbox instead of a regular textbox.
Much more you can do with it.

yes - actually i have made a richtext box with both scroll bars . Sizable with the form etc but i can t make the functionalities (File,View ) not the menu but the things they are actually doing . I know Common Dialogs etc but.. can t open really and..

I recommend spending some time reading the articles in our Classic VB FAQs (in the FAQ forum), there are some articles in the "Files" section (and others) which should be quite useful for you.

I do that project last year. I perfect doing it and complete all the details of noted pad. What is your question so i can help?! Don't tell me your need a piece of it?!

Hm, in the File , in the open i use common dialogs and i don t know the code to open a file and to save etc

iqwordpad is what i wanted , i ll see the code he is using for open and save . Thanks guys.Thats what i wanted.
