I would consider my office to be the uni, so I'd say maximum 50 meters.

    Re: Travelling Time

This is a hard one, I have two office jobs that I work every week, the two offices are a bit of a drive apart too.

All of my traveling is in Miles, which is why the US needs to switch to the metric system, the math is far easier on the metric system

    Re: Travelling Time

I need checkboxes, not radio buttons. I work from home most of the week, and from the office for the rest of the week. That means that my commute is 0 for 60% of the time and 24 mi for 40% of the time. I guess that means 9.6 mi/day on average.

    Re: Travelling Time

The 0 to 15 is too vague - that includes the work-at-home folks and those who really have a short commute.

If I have to take my car - it's nearly a mile - but a walk is much preferred!

    Re: Travelling Time

About 114km every day. (This is both in to the office AND out, right?)

BTW: How long does it take you all to travel the distance? The title and question for this thread says time, but nothing in this thread indicates the time at all.

I'm stuck in traffic for a total of about 4 hours every day. 05h45 to 07h45 in the morning, and 15h30 to 17h30 in the afternoon.

Traveling time could vary, based on traffic, mode of transport, alien invasion and so on.

Wow...I'm impressed with a lot of you.

I believe the shortest home/work commute I've ever had in my entire work life was 30 miles.

The reason I've never leased a vehicle is because you only get 12,000 miles a year. Even if all I did with the car was drive from home to work and back again, I'd easily go over that.

I know how that goes, I drop off my kid on the way to work and it adds 10 mins to the trip.

Distance, about 1.1 miles - takes around 4 minutes, but I have to negotiate 4 sets of traffic lights, a busy junction and a roundabout.

Heh... The longest commute I ever had was 30 miles. After a year I got so sick of it I moved to a house about 5 minutes away. I take it relocation is not an option for you?

    Re: Travelling Time

Longest commute I've had (distance) was 45 miles.... in LA... took about 1 hour 15-30 minutes depending on the time of day. My current 13 miles is probably the second shortest....
