Has any one else tried Gambas?
I've been working with Linux for several years now, and I've been looking for a proper replacement for Visual Basic. I've tried various BASIC dialects under Linux, none of which I really considered a decent substitute.
The versions of Gambas I've tried all seemed buggy and lacking in features. Recently I decided to give the latest version (2.12) a try, and so far it looks like it could be a decent replacement although the interface is still a bit rough around the edges, and half the online help seems to be missing.
So, has any one tried Gambas? What's your opinion?

yah! i have tried Gambas. The version supported by Linux Fedora 9.
And i find good enough as a substitute for VB 6. I didn't find any lacking features yet.

How about Mono (for .net apps)?
