    Unhappy Multiple Colums

    i am wondering if it is possible to put page columns in Crystal Reports


    I want report with following format

    can anyone tell me plz

    Format i have attched in

    i want in that format

    In the Section Expert click on the Details section and then set the "Format with Multiple Columns" option. A new tab called Layout is now accessible. Fill in the appropriate values.

    Then explain exactly what you want to do.

    Based on the text file you attached it looks like you are creating a label type report. "Format with Multiple Columns" is perfect for this because a label is typically only 2 or 3 inches wide. There is no need to "access the multiple column" as it is just a repeat of the detail section. It is simply shown in design view to indicate how many times crystal will repeat the section across the page (based on the information in the Layout tab).

    It doesn't have to be a label report. For example, if the detail section contains a single field from a recordset with 1000 rows. A typical page can only display what 60 detail items. When "Format with Multiple Columns" is on you could potentially print 400-500 detail items on a single page.
