[RESOLVED] Annoying feature?!
Hi all!
I have got a problem, in form designer view. Each time i place a new- or delete an existing control, all the Usercontrols are going to 'edit' mode, that means, they are getting disabled with the crossed lines. I'm not sure i did any changes in vb6 ide settings, nor in CodeSMART. Do you have any idea, how can i disable this feature?
Thanks
Edit:
Think, i have turned of the automatic update of usercontrols, some weeks ago, but i cant find the panel i did this change.

Re: Annoying feature?!
Close the designer windows for these UserControls.

Thanks dilettante, however the problem is a bit more depth, because no other forms or modules are open, nor usercontrols, only one form i am doing the changes. After placing the new control, no any usercontrol goes to opening.
Maybe i have turned off some setting of usercontrol, that is manages an auto update, but i'm not sure where i did.

Re: Annoying feature?!
Have you tried restarting the VB6.0 IDE? Or the computer itself?

Re: Annoying feature?!
Yes, both i did, but it is still happening. However, i can use the "Update Usercontrols" on the right click menu in form designer view. It manages a manual update, but i'm want to revert to the auto update feature, or whatever it called.
Same issue is here: http://www.codenewsgroups.net/group/...opic11929.aspx
But the conclusion wont points on any settings, but i'm sure there should be an option somewhere on the options panel of vb6 ide or codesmart, that will re enables the auto update, but i just cant found it...

Re: Annoying feature?!
Ok i just found it! In vb6 ide tools/options, at the General tab, there is a Compile frame, if i disable the Background compile feature, this will solve my problem. i had to restart vb6 ide to take the effect of enabling this feature, but i got to disabled without restarting.

Re: [RESOLVED] Annoying feature?!
Then are you sure it wasn't trying to tell you that you had syntax errors in the UserControls?

Re: [RESOLVED] Annoying feature?!
I'm using the "Break on All Errors" for default, that bugs me out on not just syntax errors, but in ever other case. I got no any error messages, it just simply doesnt updated the usercontrols, while the background compile feature was enabled. Now its all ok.
