Resolved [RESOLVED] Open an HTML file with Word

Please forgive me for asking. I am sure this is a common question, but one of my faults is an inability to search.

I am able to write an html file. How do I open it with Word ?

Re: Open an HTML file with Word

you want to open it in word? as text?
or you want to open the html file in a browser?
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

...if I launch Word with a .doc file, It works as you would expect. But Word is also able to obey HTML as a browser would. It is just easier to do whatever formatting you would like in HTML.

try recording a macro in word, of opening the html file, then adapt the code to suit
