    Send a test email

I just ammended my email address in my profile as I just moved companys and I want to carry on receiving subscription notifications. The new email address is quite long and easy to miss-type. It therefore occured to me that it would be a good idea for the forum to send out a test email when a user changes their email address so that we could be sure we haven't made any typos. Is that feasible?

We use to force confirmations on changed emails before allowing you to post again. We don't do that anymore.

I suggest you send yourself a password reminder. That is an easy way to test that it is working. You'll either get the reminder within about 15 minutes, or (if something is wrong with the address) you won't...

Ooh, good thinking. I'll do that now.
