    Dissapearing Label Text

    Hi all,

I've created a timer program, and would like to distribute it between friends etc. but have come up with a few problems I hope you can help with.

When installing the files (which have been packaged into an .exe) onto other computers some users have to install other programs to be able to use the program (I think this is the .net framework or something?). Is there a way of including this in the origional file so it installs all the required components in one hit?

Secondly, once the program is installed, none of the label text can be seen. I've got a black background, with black labels, with white writing, but many users say they can't see any writing, only a black screen and the option boxes. How can I get around this?

The file I am sending out is this ---> Link Removed By Mod
I know it is an .exe, but I assure you, it is safe.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Dissapearing Label Text

if your program needs the dot net framework, then i would assume that it is written in vb.net, so tis is the wrong forum for your question, it should be either in the vb.net forum or the packaging and deployment forum, you are more likely to get correct answers in the appropriate forum
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

    Moved to Application Deployment

I removed the link to the executable file...please don't post links to exes again.
