Beta Test: Remote Admin Tool
Tell me what you think,
Try and crash it. The file transfer is the newest addition and is probally not stable at all. If possible can the File transfer be tested over a 56.6 Modem.
The program uses %100 Winsock api.

Well I love that the server is hidden from the user. I think that you should add some kind of password protecton to the server so that some Joe can't just scan for the default port and have access to someones machine... That would make everyone on the network an Admin if they figured out what software you were using..
But I really like it..seems to work great to me. (Win2K)

Thanks for the feedback Zevlag,
Password protection is a must, I will add that in the next release.
Thanks for trying it out.
Anyone else got any feedback?
Anyone that is interested in seeing the sources drop me a line
Cheers

Tested
I just tried out your Remote Admin Tool and it works well. I didn't run into any problems. I just ran it on my LAN. W2K -> W2K. I like it, I suggest that you add a way for the Client to turn the server off on the Host computer. (Kinda like PcAnywhere does when you disconnect).
Please e-mail me any updates to the program.
[email protected]
Thanks,
Cory.

Love it!
Couple of things tho...
- Hide the server from the process list in Win2k
- The CD Open option actually opened my CD-RW drive (D) - does it always open D????
Can you send me a copy of the full version when its finished ([email protected]).
Also, will you be releasing the source code for this???
