[RESOLVED] MCSD, MCAD, MCDBA Retired??

Hello,
Is the MCSD certification being retired? (see exam scheduled for discontinuation below).

One of my long term goals was to earn this certification, but if it is being retired, I would need another certification to aim for.

Can you tell me what is the most respected certification for developing Microsoft applications and web apps? Is the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) certification as respected as the MCSD?

Any guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The Microsoft policy for exam retirement is modeled on the Microsoft Support Lifecycle Policy for technology releases. In accordance with this policy, Microsoft Learning will retire 12 exams on March 31, 2009. These exams focus on technologies that are no longer included in Microsoft mainstream support. Yes they are beting retired.

The MCPD is above the MCTS certification.

MCTS (microsoft certified Techinical Specilist)

They're not retired until next March.
