[RESOLVED] weird vista web browser woes

in IE, when i click a link to a file it navigates to an error page, yet i can right-click and save as with no issues.

Any known fixes? This is IE7. Also i made sure that IE has all file associations.

What's the extension it is navigating to?

Also, when you click - does it attempt to append any url variables to the target address? (ie. ?somevalue=something).

it doesn't matter the extension. I clicked on a video file, a pdf file, they all behave the same. I don't know about the other stuff. I will have to check later.

You can always reset the browser settings to the default.

Internet Options --> Advanced --> Reset

it was unfixable that way. I ended up installing IE8 over it.
