They should not conflict, and if installed in their default configurations, they won't. It may be that they could be configured to conflict in some way, but I haven't seen it happen in practice.

I have VS 2003, VS 2005 and VS 2008 on the same machine. It even has Visual Studio 6.

    It won't cause problems.

Going along with mendhak, I also have VS 6.0, VS2005, VS2008 and had, for quite a while, VS 2003. I finally uninstalled 2003 simply because I never used it.

Just on a side note there are some issues with VS 2003 if you are running Vista.

there are apparently some issues with just about everything if your running vista.

vb6, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2008 at one point all existed quite happily on my dev box. 2002 and 2003 have gone away now, much for the same reason sited above, i just dont' use em anymore. (and i neede room on the HD for a new game )

To answer your question it shouldn't if you are not using some sort of library like DirectX.

I remember installing the DirectX API and I had VS 6 install, and the only IDE it would install to was VS 6.
