Winsock Liscense Error
no matter how man times i try to use winsock, i always get the same thing
"Liscense information for this component cannot be found. You do not have the appropriate liscense to use this functionality in the design environment." I even looked on microsoft's site and it says upgrade to VB6, but i already got it, and i have not had this message before, someone please help.

Are you using the Student Edition (or is it Teaching Edition) of VB? If so, Winsock is not included in that edition.

I think it is called the Learning Edition.
With that, I don't believe you can compile an Exe, so, if the OP can do that, then he probably has a version of VB6 that should support Winsock.
