Create a folder on the root Vista
Has anyone tried to create a folder on the root in Vista then adding all your data file there?
Waiting for a full featured smart phone with out marrying a provider

Why???? Vista supplies the location you need to add your data files ("\Users\Public\". That's why you can't do it to keep people from messing up the OS...

Non-administrator users cannot create files on the system root drive, for example, c:\
