Well you may want to hire someone to create a professional logo for your product if its that important.
What about just using some geometric shape as the background with the initial letter of each app of your suite? Change the font from CS3 and colors used.

Creating a logo is like a piece of artwork. You really cannot ask for specific instructions as you would in code. Instead, you do as I would... start smoking and drawing ideas on paper. Then attempt to recreate them in Photoshop, new ideas hitting you along the way, until you have 3 or 4 different ideas.
Then, show them to your friends, or make your own judgment... imagine the logo on the web page overall and whether it needs to be as elaborate as Sample1 or as simple as Sample3.
