    How do you enable/disable the option "Wait for Dial Tone Option". I am having problems with my program in that it says No DialTone, yet i hear the Dial Tone. Please HELP

    Do you have voice mail on that line? The modem I have won't dial when the "stuttered" dial tone that signifies a message is present.

    I ran into the same problem (for the reason that Scotty mentioned), and in my modem's manual it gave a certain Hexidecimal number to add to my init string so that it wouldn't try to detect the dial tone, and it's worked perfectly since. Check out your manual or your modem manufacturer's web site.
