    Logarithmic and Exponential Equations?

I'm having a tough time trying to figure out what to do for these two problems in my math class:
    Log(base3)+Log(base3)x=Log(base3)7+Log(base3)(x-2)
I get stuck after simplifying to:
    Log(base3)5x=Log(base3)(7x-14)

I'm still working on the second... Don't want to give up just yet. But anyone with help I would be thankful on this problem!

    Welcome to the forums.

    If this is true

    Log(base3)5x=Log(base3)(7x-14)

    then you're done!

    Obviously, 5x = 7x - 14

Don't let the base 3 fool you, if the logarithms of 2 expressions are equal then the expressions themselves must be equal.
