    rtf, bullets and Crystal Reports

In an application we have a rich text box in which a user can enter text/formatting etc and then save/load the text to a database field. This all works fine.

However a Crystal report also needs to use the text and here's where the problem lies. All of the formatting is displayed correctly except Bullet points.

Does anyone know why this is?

    Hi,
Did you find a solution for your problem? I have the same issue and just wondering if you have managed to sort this out.
    Thanks

I have the same problem using Crystal Reports 9.

I've updated to the latest SP (9.2.3.1699) and I've applied the latest hotfix (May 2006) but still get the problem with bullet points not appearing.

Has anybody found a solution to this? Does anyone use a newer version of Crystal and have this working?

Hi drt1309 and welcome to vbf.

Wow this is a blast from the past. I did find a solution in the end but it's an old project that I've not touched for sometime, I'll see if I can dig it up and see how it was solved.

Thanks Fishcake! I didn't expect a reply that quick, I can see it's an old problem but googling it didn't really get me anywhere (apart from here!)

If you have a solution that would be great; at the moment I'm guessing an upgrade to Crystal X (or newer) might solve it, but that's not really an option for me as the customer rollout would be a nightmare!

    Cheers

I also have found myself in the same boat. Is there no way to do this?

I am having the same problem with Crystal Reports 11. Sometimes the bullet points export. Some times they do not. I can't seem to figure out why that is or how to make them behave. Anybody know how to fix that? It happens when I export the Crystal report into Word as .rtf.

    thanks,
    Noel
