Does anyone know why I would get this message and any way to fix it?

It could be any number of reasons but the most likley I think is that it isn't installed properly, so it moans about not being licenced. Try re-insalling whatver it is, or maybe even the whole of VB. I had almost the exact same problem with Access 97, it wouldn't let me open because of "no licence found on this machine" and I'm thinking "yeah, whatever you reckon". I had tried to install it in a folder different from the default, but when I did install it in the default it was fine! Blame Microsoft, that's what I say!
