Installation Conflict
I have created a installation program but when I load it on a Windows XP system that has up-to-date updates, the computer reports that a malicious file was found and deleted. Also I had a friend download it on his computer, once he opened it his antivirus program said the program was a virus and cleaned out all the setup files.
How do I prevent this from happening? Is there something I can do during packaging of maybe in the program.
My thinking is this, if I can download an exe package from trusted sites and XP does it see it as a virus then that means I can make my program not look like a virus too.
Also I would like to say thanks to those that helped with the 429 ActiveX Error. Problem I guess was because I didnt have any Service Pack installed once I installed VB SP6 everything works fine.

Re: Installation Conflict
429 ActiveX Error does means that you haven't deployed everything you need. The fact that you installed SP6 and the app worked confirms that.
Your computer probably has a virus and that is the problem it just attaches itself to your installation program. The only thing you can do is get a decent virus removal program and clean your computer.

What installer package are you using anyway?
