    Thumbs up [RESOLVED!] [02/03] ASP.NET 1.0 > 1.1 Upgrade

I am at a total loss... this has been kicking me in the ass for the last 2 days.

I have a web app, written by an ex-coworker that I need to do maintenance on.

My computer has VB.NET 2002, 2003 and 2005 installed on it (yea... sounds scary). There are no resources - time/personnel - to redo this in 2005, tho I would love to. Hence, I am stuck with 2003.

With all of that said... I can't load this damned application. I keep getting this popup that says:

Visual Studio .NET has detected that the Web server is running ASP.NET version 1.0. The Web application you are creating or opening can be configured to be compliant with ASP.NET 1.1.

However, the application will not be able to use the new features of ASP.NET 1.1.
Then it gives me the options.

I don't want to do it this way, obviously. I want to stay with 1.1.

I am running entirely too many frameworks: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0. I have run any number of fixes, service packs... I am running out of ideas...

    Help?

    thanks!

You need to install 1.1 framework on the machine that is hosting your web app. While in there, you should also install 2.0 framework for future use if you ever decided to update the app to asp.net 2.0

    GOT IT!!!

The computer had 1.1 installed... however, it was apparently a bad install. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Life is good. I can actually get in.

    Thanks!
