Don't get me wrong. I love these forums. They layout, the look and feel, everything. It is very community friendly!!
So, with all that in mind take this question in with a grain of salt.
How come we are using PHP driven forums for VB/ASP discussions?
Seems like it would be in an ASP language to be consistent with our pride in the language.
But, like I said, I love these forums... it just occured to me and I wanted to pose the question.

Just as a quick aside now we've managed to get onto this...
Do you use them because they're free, or because they're open-source? I started using MySQL because it was free, and decided to stay using it rather than defecting to another DBMS when I saw the rate the improvements were going...I don't think MS will beat that somehow
