Can't see why i wouldn't It would be a place to post code snippets and files.

Also have a look at coderprofile.com, might be a good idea to make a site like that it has a place to post code and alot of other feature.

There are a ton and a half sites out there where you can get code and code snippets for VB, C, ASP, Java, etc.

If I were going to do something like this, I would want to make myself as unique as possible, and perhaps target languages like Delphi and PowerBuilder and others that are used, but is hard to find code for.

It depends on whether you're doing this as a labour of love ar if you're looking for a potential business proposition.

If you're just doing it as an interesting exercise then game on, people will contribute and, if you can build a sense of community, it could become a lively and rewarding exercise.

If you want to make money from it, don't bother. You've already been beaten to the punch and, as Hack said, there's bucket loads of these types of site already out there. You might be able to find a niche to exploit but I suspect even the niches are already occupied by someone by now.
