Exactly how would I go about making a web vrowser in Winsock. I don't want to use the web browser control as that requires IE...

You'll have major problems there. IE parses the HTML document and works out how to display the data. The Winsock control will get you the HTML source, but then you need to parse it and work out how to display everything. I wouldn't bother myself. Stick to IE or don't have that feature.
