Thread: installing Inet

    I have created a vb script in a web page that uses the Internet Transfer Control to retrieve a file from a host machine. This works fine on my development machine that had Office 97 installed but, when I install the msinet.ocx on the production system using regsvr32.exe to register the object I get errors trying to create the object. When I try to view the class in oleview it complains about the classfactory. IE 5 is installed. Do I need to do something else? I would appreciate any ideas - thanks.

    With IE5 came new version in WinInet.dll and Inet.ocx not working well with new WinInet.dll
