    Errr... stone?

It seems our (America's) failed attempt to convert to the decimal system put us painfully out of touch with the more contrived facets of the British system of weights and measurements.

The only reason we know how far a furlong is is because: 1) It is very easy for the Southerner to say, "Yep, dat ders a right furlong." 2) Because we named a variety of crack corn or Tennesse mash 40 Rod, which is one Furlong.

But a stone? Nope. Threw all of 'em.

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

You know, I don't just drink beer despite what IanPBaker tells you about us Northerners.

I do exercise as well occasionally.

Not so much, now I'm getting into my old age, mind....

Apart from Dennis you're all lightweights compared to me...13 stone. As I'm 6 foot that makes my BMI about 23 I think, which apparently is And of course it is all finely tuned muscle

If you're interested, you can check your BMIhere.

I do know that...since there's only one of you if you're number 8 then weight DOES matter! (you can direct the scrum more effectively).

    I wasnt a number 8, i was a lock (2nd row numbers 6 and 7)
and the Flankers direct the scrum and hold it together.

I was a tight head prop, can't remember if that's number 1 or number 3, in fact I remember very little about my rugby days as I never learnt to tackle without using my face. I'm probably about 13 1/2 stone and 6'. I was about 15st when I used to play though and I never learnt the rules.
If it wasn't for this sentence I wouldn't have a signature at all.

hmm, maybe I knew even less of the rules than I thought.

Props are the guys who hold up the hooker in the front row. I thought flankers were the 2 guys on the sides of the scrum between the 2nd row and the number 8 (or between the front row and 2nd row I usually had my head stuck in someones armpiut at the time so I didn't really look) and stop the scrum rotating.
If it wasn't for this sentence I wouldn't have a signature at all.
