I'm sick of Israeli - Palestinian conflict.
This stupid simmering conflict has been going on for half a century, and dominated the news.
Why does the world care about such a stupid pissant little section of the world? They are fighting over such a small piece of land, why do we care? It's their business! Stop sending aid to Israel and Palestine, let them fight it out.
Now thats just my gut reaction.
But I guess because the whole region is a political tinderbox for oil producing countries nearby, I guess it has to be at least seem to be dealt with by the United States.
Oh yea, it's also a holy land, which frankly this section of the world is the source of so much conflict past and present that I'd rather they sow the land with salt and kick everyone out.

Really think about it....
Without oil - how would they make diesel to power the locomotive to deliver the coal to the power station - the same power station that powers your computer - which allows you to vent your frustration?
(If your power station uses nuclear - just substitute enriched uranium for coal - if its uses windmills you must substitute power locomotive to deliver windmill parts).

As far as recorded history has gone, that region has known few periods of relative calm. Why start now?

Any conflict that others want to ignore, can be ignored. (Africa)
The fact that it is not being ignored and you still keep reading about it means that we have a vested interest in maintaining a precarious power balance in the region.

Good news, everyone.
Perhaps after the Palestinians destroy themselves, there won't be a conflict any longer.

The only way forward for peace is to send in the peacekeepers for two generations so the pesky people in that part of the world forget how much they hate each other for no apparent reason other than a strip of desert.

Re: I'm sick of Israeli - Palestinian conflict.
The only way forward for peace is for an external aggressor to come in there and start wiping out huge portions of the adult population.
If this was the early 20th century, we could have done that in Iraq.

As barbaric as that may sound, it would have had its advantages. European colonization of other parts of the world may now be looked upon as barbaric after any former colony gains independence, but they fail to realize that without colonization (and the negative effects of it), we wouldn't have this metaphorical "global village" as we do now.

NEWS FLASH:
This "stupid simmering conflict" has been going on for thousands of years. There will be no end to it until one side wipes out the other. The Arabs can't, and the Israelis won't. So get used to it...
