    This is for Linux

I wanted to respond to Linux earlier, but I was so busy, I simply did not have the time. Nevertheless, what I need to say is so important, I knew I simply had to allocate a few minutes to write a brief letter on the subject. Unless you share my view that Linux's dissertations are colored by a sycophantic adoration of extremism, there's no need for you to hear me further.

The facts are, succinctly, these: First, Linux's scare tactics reflect a contentious bias that will ridicule, parody, censor, and downgrade opposing ideas sooner or later. Second, the poisonous wine of alarmism had been distilled long before it entered the scene. Linux is merely the agent decanting the poisonous fluid from its bottle into the jug that is world humanity. Maybe it's not fair to call Linux's encomiasts "feeble-minded" just because they supplant one form of injustice with another, but remember that by writing this letter, I am unmistakably sticking my head far above the parapet. The big danger is that Linux will retaliate against me. It'll most likely try to force me to kiss my freedom goodbye, although another possibility is that there is little doubt that anger is contagious. End of story. Actually, I should add that given the amount of misinformation that it is circulating, I must sincerely point out that I am now in a position to define what I mean when I say that it wants to promote the total destruction of individuality in favor of an all-powerful group, even though, for most people, this desire is neither necessary nor instinctive. What I mean is that Linux sometimes uses the word "cinephotomicrography" when describing its utterances. Beware! This is a buzzword designed for emotional response. To quote the prophet Isaiah, "Woe to ye who toss sops to the egos of the barbaric".

I have two words to say about Linux's credos: nefarious poppycock. To be blunt, biggety lotharios often take earthworms or similar small animals and impale them on a pin to enjoy watching them twist and writhe as they slowly die. Similarly, Linux enjoys watching respectable people twist and writhe whenever it threatens to waste hours and hours in fruitless conferences and meetings. Although this has been overlooked or ignored by the established scientific community, the pen is a powerful tool. Why don't we use that tool to take the initiative to condemn -- without hesitation, without remorse -- all those who stifle dissent? Too many emotions to count raced through my mind when I first realized that whenever there's an argument about Linux's devotion to principles and to freedom, all one has to do is point out that I recognize the need to think and act strategically as well as tactically. That should settle the argument pretty quickly. I hope I haven't bored you by writing an entire letter about Linux. Still, this letter was the best way to explain to you that before bothering us with its next batch of soporific, self-deceiving ebullitions, Linux should review the rules of writing a persuasive essay, most notably the one about sticking to the topic the writer establishes.

Apparently your complaint generator is inferior to his complaint generator.

    Re: This is for Linux

I'd like to take a minute of your time to share some of my thoughts about Miss Timeshifter with you. Let's start with my claim that if Timeshifter's sermons get any more balmy, I expect they'll grow legs and attack me in my sleep. She is a lifelong member of the Church of Jaundiced Neopaganism. Not that I've come to expect any better from her. To some extent, her whinges are not pedantic treatises expressing theories or extravaganzas dealing in fables or fancies. They are substantial, sober outpourings from the very soul of hedonism.

Whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I, for one, am willing to appeal not to the contented and satisfied, but embrace those tormented by suffering, those without peace, the unhappy and the discontented. I don't care what others say about Timeshifter. She's still bumptious, irreligionism-oriented, and she intends to siphon off scarce international capital intended for underdeveloped countries. Quite simply, she shouldn't feature simplistic answers to complex problems. That's just plain common sense. Of course, the people who appreciate her sophistries are those who eagerly root up common sense, prominently hold it out, and decry it as poison with astonishing alacrity. I, speaking as someone who is not an uncouth, deceitful ex-con, predict catastrophe. For proof of this fact, I must point out that I've heard of unpatriotic things like defeatism and Maoism. But I've also heard of things like nonviolence, higher moralities, and treating all beings as ends in and of themselves -- ideas which Timeshifter's ignorant, unthinking, unregenerate brain is too small to understand.

Timeshifter accuses me of being hate-filled, yet it is she who is filled with hate. And she accuses me of being bigoted, while her animadversions show nothing but bigotry. Why does Timeshifter make those sorts of accusations, then? Let me give you a hint: When I was younger, I wanted to make Timeshifter answer for her wrongdoings. I still want to do that, but now I realize that she wants to open the floodgates of animalism. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis. The only way out of Miss Timeshifter's rat maze is to examine the social and cultural conditions that needle and wheedle headstrong meanies into her band. It's that simple.

You goonery tactics now apparently include the ability to cut and paste text. With your mighty skills you strike fear into those who would defy you.

Next time I might pluck up enough courage to just cut and not bother pasting
