Using VB6, on Win95/96/NT on PIII/PII/Celeron doesn't matter...
After installing from a setup program that was compiled by VS6 package and deployment wizard. The application gives at various points "Error 429: Activex can't create object". With the setup dcom98, mdac_typ, and even IE4.n was double checked. Everything was uninstalled and reinstalled in various orders.
The only way the app could get to work was to install the whole VisualStudio6 package on the pc giving problems.

Hmmm, I wonder?
