Re: Menu bar icons
What menu bar? In your app or in Windows or ?
If its your app then when you created the menubar you need to place your icons with that, usually using APIs to draw the Menu bitmaps.
Or are you talking about Toolbars?

Re: Menu bar icons
Ok then thats not a menu, place your icons in an imagelist and associate that with the toolbar. Set each buttons icon to relate to the index key associated with the image you want in the image list.

is the image list like a folder with images in it?
if so:
how do i associate the tool bar with the image list? or does it have to be in the same file, but with different names?

Re: Menu bar icons
An ImageList is a control. You add it to your toolbox as "Windows Common Controls 6.0". If you have a toolbar then it should be already added as the toolbar is in that controls group too.

Re: Menu bar icons
How did the images get there to start with? Usually a toobar button is blank.

If you already have a ToolBar on your Form then select the ToolBar and select the Custom properties. In the ImageList Combo select None then OK. Or put an ImageList on your Form then select Custom from the properties window. Click on the Images tab and add all your icons.
Then go back to your ToolBar Custom properties and select the ImageList from the ImageList combo, for the icons you want to use. Then on the Buttons tab you can setup your buttons with the image index for the icons.

Re: Menu bar icons
Add it to your toolbox but it should be there is you have added the common controls 6.0 for the toolbar. Just drag n drop the imagelist control from the toolbox and populate with images.

Now if you are talking about images on menus, toolbar dropdown menus or standard menus?
