    mechanics maths

    a stone is thrown at an angle of elevation of 30 degress. if 1 second later it hits the ground 1m below its point of projection find the speed of projection.

    its probably a really simple thing, since equations of motion are easy, but still

    s=ut+0.5at^2, resolved vertically. Then account for the angle.
    I use VB 6, VB.Net 2003 and Office 2010
