[Resolved] Deploying Crystal XI in VB6 App

Hi Peeps,

This looks like its a big issue this with no answers so I am going to let you know what I have found so far. I have used visual installer 1.1 to install the latested Merge Modules for Crystal but when trying to print / preview any reports I get errors. I also tried to use the packaged and deploy and I noticed something very interesting when looking at the file list of files it created. It basically is not looking at the craxdrt.dep file because there is a shed load of files that are needed and I think this is why I cannot get my report to work.

My question is, does anyone know why the Package and Deploy is now including all the files that are in the CRAXDRT.DEP file?

Just to add I have also created a Visual Studio deploy and it also it not including all the files that are needed in the craxdrt.dep.

I found out the problem, basically there is 11.5 of the merge modules out and I thought I needed the latest ones. It turns out there is a 11.5 release of Crystal Reports which I dont have so I was deploy the wrong version of the merge controls. I used visual installer to include the merge modules and the deploy worked fine (version 11 of the merge modules).
