Moved from Forum Feedback, which is for comments about VBForums itself.

As this is a non-computer question, this is the only valid forum we have for you.

Sounds like you've damaged the screen unfortunately. Do you have the resume feature on for music? So, when you switch it on it should still play music, just not display anything on screen.

I really don't know how to help.

Did you try a soft reset? I had a similar problem with my Zen a while back and this fixed it right up.

Aside from that...don't know what to tell you. Might want to talk to Samsung if its still under warranty.
    I'm bringing geeky back...

No thank you! Any help would help. Player do not have any songs saves to it. Item was brought off ebay. Trying to repair device myself and helped it would be a easy fix with just updating firmware or seeing do device only needed charging. I did not think screen may be broken. I will continue to listen to any help posted here. Thanks.

Charge it full, and do a soft reset like Jungleman said, there should be a small button on the back (i think thats where it is on that series of players) which can be pushed by the tip of a pen or pencil (or paperclip) this should do the trick.

Next thing would be to put a song on it, and try pressing play on the device when you switch it on. Might still be able to play songs despite the wrecked screen.
