VPR Matrix FT 9150 on the fritz
My piece of crap PC has an error that requires a recovery disc for my VPR Matrix. Tech support has been horrendous and the only suggestions I've been offered have been "Wait until it's made again," or "buy windows XP."
Now, unfortunately, I've got my whole life on that damn computer and if I don't get this disc, I'm going to have lots of trouble. If anyone has a vprmatrix recovery disc, please let me know. I'll gladly pay for you to make a copy for me. Thank you so much.

Welcome to the forums.
I have edited your post and removed your email address.
You should never post your email address in an open post on an open forum. Mail spam bots can pick that up and before you know it, your mailbox is full of junk mail. If you wish to share your email address with other forum members, please do so via our PM system.
Thanks.
If you purchased this product, did it not come with a recovery disk?

Dang, thanks.
It did indeed come with a recovery disk. Unfortunately, it's somewhere about 2000 miles away from me and I can't find it. I'm pretty desperate here. Thanks.

Re: VPR Matrix FT 9150 on the fritz
you would most likely need to find the recovery disk for the exact same model PC you had.
For example you can't take a Dell recovery disk for model X and recovery a model Y PC with it.
The chances of finding someone to provide you a CD is pretty slim. Especially on this forum, which is primarily programming. I am sure you are going around to many forums looking for this disc.
Perhaps you could tell us what the actual PC problem is, as many of us are pretty good with that kind of stuff, and it may be something you can fix versus a reinstall.
I know sometimes the only answer is to reinstall the OS, but often times the problem can be resolved without that.

Appreciate the help, here's the problem:
missing or corrupt file: windows\system32\config\system
Tried the solutions on MS' website. Can'tboot in safe mode or access restore mode or whatever it's called. I also can't boot to a time when it worked either.
About the Knoppix solution...I'm running windows, plus it was an OEM machine.
