    Structures explained please

    Hi,
    Could someone explain in plain english what structures are for and how they work as I need to use it in an assignement and later on in programs.

    Very usefull. It does make a bit more sense.
    By the way I'm doing a distance learning course with books and exercises.
    We can ask the tutors online but that is only form 9 to 5 monday to friday and since I work all day most days (I'm a chef) it is a bit hard to talk to them.

    Gig's example is heavyduty and probably the best. For the basics you can also check http://www.startvbdotnet.com/oop/structure.aspx
    It's a nice site and covers many topics. Try to make a recipe structure with fields like cooking time, temperature, incredients and then describe different meals.

    Do you really need to pay for a "distance learning course" and not just for the books and exercises? A simple Step by Step book form MS does the same thing, except for the part where there are tutors whom you cannot ask.

    If this is for college credit, then probably so, or else he won't get the credit
