This one in particular looks like two magnets and dry ice. See for yourselves and if there's a mathmatical equation for both, one without and one with dry ice, then I'd be interested to know about it.

This must be a year or two old.

The black magnet in the dish has been placed in liquid nitrogen, making it fall below the critical temperature. It is now a superconductor. Since superconductors have a magnetic field, the magnet is being repelled and floats above it. When the hand pushes the floating magnet towards the superconductor hard enough, the magnetic field is distorted, and the attraction between the magnet and the superconductor becomes the preferred orientation and now they are together. Once outside the dish, the superconductor starts to warm up and loses its superconducting abilities. The floating magnet falls. Boom.

But these things do come up from time to time, though they are all scattered about everywhere. It's just a matter of finding them or having someone tell you. I may know a few, but I have a meeting right now, so I'll come back to this later.
