    2.0 framework

I installed the 2.0 framework, following the instructions, first installing the 20mb file and then the 300mb file. Everything seemed to go smoothly. However, when i open visual studio and go to help -> about, it still says 1.1 framework and i dont see any of the new tools (mainly datagridview) that i am looking for.

    what should i do?

    Thanks

    David

It sounds like you are using Visual Studio 2003. To be able to use the 2.0 Frmawork you have to use Visual Studio 2005 (that's probably the 300mb file). So make sure you are opening VS 2005, not 2003.

What was the '300 MB' file? How can you install something on your computer and not know what it was?

I only click things if they flash and tell me I've won.

VS 2002 works only with .NET 1.0
VS 2003 works only with .NET 1.1
VS 2005 works only with .NET 2.0
