Running VB6:I am using 'dim db as database'
Now I need to open an ODBC database for which the db.connect holds the string as following
"Database=IMS_SQL;ODBC;DSN=sqlims;Description=ims data on casp;SERVER=Casp;UID= sa;PWD=;APP=Visual Basic;WSID=boxter; DATABASE=IMS_SQL;Address=Casp,1433"
I set constring variable to the following string :
"Database=IMS_SQL;ODBC;DSN=sqlims;SERVER=Casp;UID=sa;" to open the above database through a connection string but it says that the database doesnot exist!????
Please help me if you can I really appreciate
your time and effort many thanks.

Dumb question:
Has the data source been set up through the ODBC Data Source Administrator (ODBC control Panel)?
You'll need an entry for "sqlims", if it hasn't.
