Resolved [RESOLVED] Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot open the file

I have my solution in the ipub root directory. The solution is a text book example so I know there is no code problems. I have the read-only attribute off of the mdb file in my Share directory. I have read several posts looking for an answer to my problem. I believe it is in setting permissions. I have XP and cannot find Security tabs as described in prior posts. Where do I go from here?

In XP Pro (not sure about Home) simple security is on by default. To turn it off and gain access to the Security tabs

Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab, uncheck the last option "Use Simle File Sharing"

Your response to my post worked excellent. After I unchecked simple file sharing, the security tab showed up on my .mdb file. My user id had allowed full control, but not all permissions were allowed for the Users so I changed that and this resolved my problem

PS: Thanks for your help. It is greatly appreciated
