I think it was WMP and IE?
They produced a WMPless Euro version, for what it's worth. Hardly a significantly de-monopolising move.
I can't remember how it got on to server stuff.

pft pointless on one forces you to buy MS products but o well. And to think that they might have even used the money for something worth while.

Well, you practically are seeing as it is bundled with most new PCs. I would think the vast majority of customers do not know you can get Windows removed and refunded.

True, well last september when i was working in Tesco before went to uni i saw them selling laptops with Linux on, think it was madrake, only time i have seen linux being sold on a computer pre-installed.

it is more commonly referred to as "Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP" (LAMP).
