matrices question
hi there,
my teacher has told me i need to be able to evaluate matrices. An example he gave me was, evaluate A,
A = (-3)
(11)
(6)
I apoligise for my crude matrices, by the way its supposed to be a 3x1 matrices. Any help on how i might go about solving these problems would be a great help.
Kind egards

Re: matrices question
You don't exactly evaluate a matrix.... You can solve the associated system of equations, but in the case of the matrix you have given, there isn't a particular thing you can do with it that would be obviously what your teacher wants. If this is still relevant, can we have more information?

Re: matrices question
I think this thread answers the question. The column matrix is to be considered a vector and the 'evaluate' part was to find the magnitude.
