Error viewing Crystal Report 8 reports
Hi,
Just wanna ask, why do I encounter error in copying crystal ocx in system32 in vb6 app now? I can’t view my reports in my vb6 app. I always get this error msg: “Could not find database dll.”
I tried installing the Seagate Crystal Report 8 but I get an error and the setup could not be completed. I was trying to install it in AMD K6 2 – 800Mhz cpu but no success.
This is the error I was getting upon installation:
“Error accessing schema.mdb”
It doesn’t succeed if I choose retry but if I press cancel, everything rolls back and the setup is not completed.
What could I be missing here? Please I need help. Thanks.

lonskie1030,
You may be missing some dependencies. with what did you create your installation? If you used PDW it won't find them. You have CR 8 not 8.5?

Thanks for your fast reply.
Yes I have CR8. What dependencies do I miss? And, what do you mean PDW? What should I do then to solve this problem? Is there anyway I could solve this? Please help.
Thanks again.

Re: Error viewing Crystal Report 8 reports
There are two ways... well two easier ways. One is to look in the runtime.hlp file for CR and manually get the dependencies (search the forum for the exact location of this file) and the other is to use ********** (look in my signature) to automatically find the dependencies.

Re: Error viewing Crystal Report 8 reports
What packaging program are you using?
The location of the help file that specifies the necessary files is -
?:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Developer Files\Help\Runtime.hlp
But this helpfile is only included with the developer version of CR.
