Cricket Communications is seeking a Network System Engineer for a full-time salaried position in San Diego.

Position Overview:

This position reports to the Manager of Engineering and is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated databases, reporting, and analysis tools. These databases, tools, and reports will be used internally to manage the cost saving, quality, and continual improvement of Cricket’s next generation digital wireless networks. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple groups including engineering, network operations, and IT.

Cricket believes that automation of daily quality reports and the development of creative ways to process and organize network data provide us with a significant competitive advantage. We are looking for the best and brightest to develop these applications and gain a broad understanding of how digital networks operate. Specific responsibilities of this position will include: Development and maintenance of complex parsing programs, database design, and logical GUI Window and ASP.Net design.

Qualifications:

BS, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. 3 or more years of telecommunications industry experience, 5 or more years of Visual Basic (VB) and C++ programming experience, 3 or more years of ASP.Net programming experience, experience with (or a strong interest in) MS Visual Studio.Net, and 3 or more years of SQL programming and UNIX experience is also desired. Preferred hands-on network optimization experience (including test and measurement) with large wireless (CDMA, TDMA, GSM) networks.
