Home Network Assistance.
I hope that i'm not out of place asking this here, sorry if i am. I am just about to undertake a course in vb.net hopfully leading to MCSD. I am quite a noobie but understand the basics well. After speaking to my course advisor he said that i will need a two computers a server/client. This i thought was fine i'll just set up a small home network, so my girlfriend can be on it aswell. Not that easy afterall. So i'm stuck.
I have a bunch of ethernet cables, a 4 port wireless router, one development computer, another pc to act as the server, and my girlfriend has a laptop.
The question is... how do they connect together?

Re: Home Network Assistance.
sounds a bit like my home network. I've got a wireless dsl router, 2 computers are connected to it via ethernet cable, there is no server, and there was no configuring really, all I had to do was plug the cable into the comps and the router, thats it and windows recognised the network. The router is the internet access point, so both comps have internet through the router, and any wireless device can get internet access
