[RESOLVED] VB 2005 express, cant run even a simple app

Hey guys, totally new to this forum and to VB though not to coding and windows application developement. Just downloaded the express editions of all the visual studio application development tools and in both VB and C# (not tried the others). I selected "new project" then "windows application" from the templates and pushed the debug green arrow button. I get this error message "error trying to run project: Unable to start debugging. The binding handle is invalid". I get exactly the same error in C# express having done the same actions. This leads me to suspect something is not quite right on my system, perhaps a service not running that needs to be ? Ok system is a Sony Vaio Laptop, 3Ghz P4, 1gb memory, plenty of disk space free. Windows XP SP2 all up to date with windows update. Antivirus and Firewall running. I do go through the services running when I buy a machine and disable those I don't need. Could mit be the VB needs something to work correctly that I have been running very happily with disabled up until now ? Any help greatfully received as I really need to get on learning these tools. those of you not able to get VB 2005 express to run even a simple template window need to enable the Terminal Services service.
