[2005] Publishing my program
Hi, I have just started using VB and I think its brilliant! However, I have a problem, I have uploaded a "program"(just a coloured form) to uppit.com but when I try to download it it opens it in VB, what do I do to have it open the file like it would be when you debug it? If it makes any difference I just save it as default with the .vb extension.
here is the link to the file - http://uppit.com/dl/TDxWwtiI

In the solution explorer (the list to the right) in VB 2005, right-click your project name (the first item on the list) and click "publish"

Re: [2005] Publishing my program
1. select a folder to publish it to, preferably an empty one. Click next.
2. select an option that suits your application, if you just want it to be "standard" select "From a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM". Click next.
3. if your application should check for updates check the first choice, and enter the location form where it should get the updates. If not, just select the second and press Next.
4. Press finish
Now youll have the entire application with a neat setup file in the specified directory

when you download it you have to click on setup, If you click Menu1 and try and use it you will get an error.
