I've been programming in VB for a while, but 99% of what I've needed to do has been either a database app, or a general program. I've never even scratched the surface of game programming, but I want to get into it. Since I know absolutely nothing about the subject, where should I begin? Can you point me to some URL's or some type of information that will enable me to start programming games with as little confusion as possible...?
Thanks,
Acoustic

i stated out at http://www.oneringsoftware.com the tutorials there are pretty simple and are a pretty good start. the website isn't being updated anymore though so you might want to go somewhere else.
